On Saturday morning we sent 10 players to represent Whyalla in the innagural intercity pennant series in Pt Lincoln . We played in the comp Saturday and we’re all very impressed with the condition of the course . Sunday was game day and we had a reasonable result , considering most of us hadn’t played there for a lot of years or some never played at all . Lincoln is a very tight course and we seemed to struggle with consistently hitting fairways off the tee . We finished the day 6.5 to Lincoln , 3.5 to Whyalla . I believe this sees us in a handy position for the return leg in Whyalla hopefully mid October . Our representatives were Chad McLean, Stephen Darby , Anthony Lynch , Peter Armes , Richard Coyne , Darrin Veart , John Horner , Wes McLean , Ben Spirat and Anthony Manfield . Thanks fellas for making yourself available , some at short notice due to a couple of pull outs late due to injury and work . It’s great to have representative golf back
