Yes! A Hole-in-one. If you’ve had one (or more) you know how it feels. If you haven’t, it’s the one thing that will make the worst day’s golf – amazing! And when you get to reminisce with friends about your years of playing golf – the hole-in-one will always be a highlight.
For John McKay it happened on January 16th, 2021 on the 7th at Whyalla Golf Club in a Saturday Stableford comp. John hit the ball, not a bad shot, but it seemed to disappear – maybe it had overshot the green. Murray Angus (John’s partner on the day) suggested “maybe it’s in the hole” – and to their delight and excitement – it was!
