Day 1 of the TOLL Championship was great (for most). The weather was perfect, competitor numbers OK, food – yum and scores pretty normal.
Sunday was a different story! If you were a morning golfer, you probably got away with a bit of light drizzle on the last few holes. Afternoon golfers copped the lot! The only positive was a beautiful soaking for the course. Despite the woeful weather there were still some excellent scores and a play-off for ‘C’ Grade between Keith Wade and Dave Kinslow, with Dave taking the win. Final Results of the 36 Hole Event were:
Gross score winners:
A Grade: Winner Chad McLean 152 Runner up Peter Armes 157
B Grade: Winner Dave Kinslow 171 Runner up Keith Wade 171
C Grade: Winner John Grimes 190 Runner up Peter Kenny 192
Nett score winners:
A Grade: Winner Julien Milne 147 Runner up Cliff Storr 151
B Grade: Winner Tony Harrison 146 Runner up Steve Dennis 149
C Grade: Winner Marcello Scatena 145 Runner up Ken Andrew 149
